This picture is Cheri's cheer team at Toledo's Channel 13 Border Battle before the big Michigan-Ohio State game. Cheri's team is red, even though Michigan is blue. She is in the back, in the middle. The TV anchors are Sashem Brey and Jay Berschback, in the front. The blue team is the St. Francis cheerleaders from Toledo. St. Francis is an all boys' school (Paul, my Paul, and Jon went there) so the girls actually go to St. Ursula. Both schools are private Catholic schools in Toledo. The St. Francis girls were amazed while watching our girls stunt. Ohio doesn't allow cheerleaders to stunt and our girls compete in it. The girls cheered in the pre-game show and then were treated to a lunch from the station. It was a memorable day!

New things happing around town...

Cheri and her Bedford cheer team are going to be in the Border Battle on Channel 13 in Toledo against Whitmer from Toledo. Bedford is in Michigan and has Ohio State's colors and Whitmer is in Ohio and has U of M's colors. They are going to do some cheer off in the pre-game show Saturday. It should be fun.

My Equestrian Club is going to visit the Toledo Mounted Police horses. I just got an email from The Toledo Blade and they are going to cover our visit. We are going on the 4th of December.

The Yearbook class is very stressful and full of problems. It is a daily struggle. I said I'd give it 3 years before I give up on it. I'm hoping by then things will be familiar and problems will be less of an issue. That's not what going on this year. Is summer here yet?

Clint just wrote me and thanked me for helping him become a decent writer because he is doing well on all of his papers. That made my day. When your kids come back and thank you for doing something for them while they were growing up is the ultimate reward as a parent.

Paul started putting the stone on the fireplace. I am excited to see that done. When P III was here a bunch of my doors got painted and hung. Paul spent last night working on the bonus room (Cheri's room). I'm anxious to get her up there and have a permanent guest room. Right now if you visit you sleep on the couch or with the kids. The dog is always an option, but she sheds.

Charlie has been down here riding his 4-wheeler with his buddies. I wish I had this land when they were growing up. They would have loved it. Now it is just a ton of work for Paul and I. I kinda miss my little yard. I will enjoy it more when we actually get a yard here. It's nice to be able to have a bonfire or run the dog.

Speaking of the dog, we are going it breed Cheyenne one time and have some pups in the spring. We will probably keep the one we get attached to. I found a male Heidelberg Shepherd right here in Bedford. The owner even offered to help me deliver Cheyenne's pups. She will probably have them in May sometime. The breeder has 2 litters due now and said she'd call and let me help if I'm not working.

Jon is looking at a new job out in Denver. I hope he can still come home for the holidays. He has been planning on coming back the weekend before Christmas and staying through Christmas. P III is still looking for a job in New York. He spent several weeks out here helping us and other family and friends to get a little bit of money. The holidays for him will depend on what happens between now and then. I really wished these kids lived closer. Some days we just really miss them. Paul is in New York, Jon is in Denver, Clint is in Kalamazoo, and Charlie is up in Brownstown. At least Clint and Charlie are still in Michigan. Heaven knows where Cheri will end up going to college. Clint wants her to go to Western with him. I think he wants to keep an eye on her. That would be fine with me, but it's up to her. Next year is it with her and then she graduates.

I will post some pictures of the Border Battle and the visit to the police horses when I get them.

Love you all...Cindy
