Diaper Party and Baby Shower

Saturday was Charlie's Diaper Party for Jovie at Looney's. It was guys and girls and a ton of fun. Charlie and Lauren got enough diapers to get them started anyway. Even Cheri came up after work. We danced and had a great evening.

Sunday was the baby shower for the girls at Lauren's house. I got Lauren a stroller carseat combo and a beautiful diaper bag that Amanda's Mom, Teresa, made. Of course, because Teresa doesn't do anything just average, the bag was filled with toys, wipes, monogrammed blankets and burp rags, and a changing pad she made herself. It is beautiful and I have pictures below. Cheri got her an amazing pack and play that is a cradle, crib, changing table, and play pen all in one. She also got her onsies. Aunt Linda sent a blanket and head rest from Nevada. Grandma Vargo got her some cute outfits and Grandma Ramirez got her a carseat toy and thermometer. She got lots of other stuff from various friends that were there too.

It was a fun weekend and just makes Jovie seem so much more real to us all. We can't wait for her arrival. Lauren said the doctor is telling her the tenative date is August 12th. She had several views from the ultrasound today and is going to make me a copy. You can see her little face and hands clear as day.

We are waiting Miss Jovie!!!

Amazing weekend - 2009

The prom was at the Toledo Zoo this year. It was beautiful even if it was a bit cold. The kids got to ride on the carousel and the atmosphere was wonderful. Cheri and Shane looked great, as did all the kids that night. It was magical. Even though the prom was a bit bittersweet for me, it was a night of fun for Cheri.

The Friday before was my birthday and the senior relays at the high school. I am in charge of the relays so it was a busy day. The seniors had a blast. That night the kids, Paul, and I went to Outback and to see a movie. It was a wonderful day.

Mother's Day was lunch with my Mom, dessert with Paul's Mom, and bowling with my kids and their signifigant others. This weekend was so much fun I never wanted it to end. I wish every weekend was like this weekend.
