This picture is Cheri's cheer team at Toledo's Channel 13 Border Battle before the big Michigan-Ohio State game. Cheri's team is red, even though Michigan is blue. She is in the back, in the middle. The TV anchors are Sashem Brey and Jay Berschback, in the front. The blue team is the St. Francis cheerleaders from Toledo. St. Francis is an all boys' school (Paul, my Paul, and Jon went there) so the girls actually go to St. Ursula. Both schools are private Catholic schools in Toledo. The St. Francis girls were amazed while watching our girls stunt. Ohio doesn't allow cheerleaders to stunt and our girls compete in it. The girls cheered in the pre-game show and then were treated to a lunch from the station. It was a memorable day!

New things happing around town...

Cheri and her Bedford cheer team are going to be in the Border Battle on Channel 13 in Toledo against Whitmer from Toledo. Bedford is in Michigan and has Ohio State's colors and Whitmer is in Ohio and has U of M's colors. They are going to do some cheer off in the pre-game show Saturday. It should be fun.

My Equestrian Club is going to visit the Toledo Mounted Police horses. I just got an email from The Toledo Blade and they are going to cover our visit. We are going on the 4th of December.

The Yearbook class is very stressful and full of problems. It is a daily struggle. I said I'd give it 3 years before I give up on it. I'm hoping by then things will be familiar and problems will be less of an issue. That's not what going on this year. Is summer here yet?

Clint just wrote me and thanked me for helping him become a decent writer because he is doing well on all of his papers. That made my day. When your kids come back and thank you for doing something for them while they were growing up is the ultimate reward as a parent.

Paul started putting the stone on the fireplace. I am excited to see that done. When P III was here a bunch of my doors got painted and hung. Paul spent last night working on the bonus room (Cheri's room). I'm anxious to get her up there and have a permanent guest room. Right now if you visit you sleep on the couch or with the kids. The dog is always an option, but she sheds.

Charlie has been down here riding his 4-wheeler with his buddies. I wish I had this land when they were growing up. They would have loved it. Now it is just a ton of work for Paul and I. I kinda miss my little yard. I will enjoy it more when we actually get a yard here. It's nice to be able to have a bonfire or run the dog.

Speaking of the dog, we are going it breed Cheyenne one time and have some pups in the spring. We will probably keep the one we get attached to. I found a male Heidelberg Shepherd right here in Bedford. The owner even offered to help me deliver Cheyenne's pups. She will probably have them in May sometime. The breeder has 2 litters due now and said she'd call and let me help if I'm not working.

Jon is looking at a new job out in Denver. I hope he can still come home for the holidays. He has been planning on coming back the weekend before Christmas and staying through Christmas. P III is still looking for a job in New York. He spent several weeks out here helping us and other family and friends to get a little bit of money. The holidays for him will depend on what happens between now and then. I really wished these kids lived closer. Some days we just really miss them. Paul is in New York, Jon is in Denver, Clint is in Kalamazoo, and Charlie is up in Brownstown. At least Clint and Charlie are still in Michigan. Heaven knows where Cheri will end up going to college. Clint wants her to go to Western with him. I think he wants to keep an eye on her. That would be fine with me, but it's up to her. Next year is it with her and then she graduates.

I will post some pictures of the Border Battle and the visit to the police horses when I get them.

Love you all...Cindy

Mom and Dad Ramirez at Cheri's competition

Hi all...

I was going through some pictures and decided to post some of my favorites. You have to check out the one with Paul and Cheyenne in the dog house. My husband is nuts. We just had Paul III and Clint home this past weekend and had a nice family get-together. I made my pizza at Clint's request. Cheri and Amanda's sister, Lindsay, are going up to Western for sibling weekend tonight. I'm driving them halfway and meeting Clint and Amanda for dinner. They have a haunted house and other fun activities planned for the kids.

Hope all of you are doing fine. My good friend, Gabriel, is in the middle of the fires in California. Her family is safe, thank God. My aunt Linda just went through that in Tahoe not long ago. She also was safe. My cousin Kelly just had a little girl, Izzy, and Cheri and I went to visit her in Indiana a couple of weeks ago. Izzy is healthy and darling. We got to see Linda and Kim while we were there. Our family is just all over the place and getting together is precious.

Love you all...Cindy

Cheri and Brittany in Florida

Paul and I at Bert's in Florida

At our school, during Homecoming week, the junior and senior girls play a game called Big Ball. The girls paint their faces and dress crazy. There are 100 students on the football field and they are all in zones. They fight for a huge ball and try to get it into the endzone. It is fixed and the seniors always win. I am the junior adviser and that makes me the coach of the junior team. I painted my face too. I have never had so much fun at an event in my life. The picture I posted is of Cheri and I during the game. We actually won but every time we scored the seniors got points! Next year it will be us!!!

Welcome Friends and Family!

Hello to all of our friends and family. I thought this would be a wonderful way for us to keep in contact. I will be able to post pictures and comments for everyone to view. We have had so much happen to us in the last few months.

Paul has been working on the house as much as possible in between his job as soccer referee and his regular job at Buildings and Grounds at the school. We are working on getting grass put in the front yard, landscaping bricks in front of the porch, and getting a fence in the backyard. When the weather turns he will focus on the fireplace, master bath, and trim. We will be done in about 20 years with no problem.

I, Cindy, have been trying to keep up at work. This year I have taken on the huge task of creating the high school yearbook. The school went on trimesters for the first time and we have a new computer system. If that wasn't enough for me, I'm taking on the prom, creative writing club, and the equestrian club. If I add one more thing I've advised my co-workers to shoot me.

PIII graduated from Ohio State in June and moved to Dallas the day after graduation. He decided to move to New York last month and is actively looking for a job at this time.

Jonathan is still in Denver and found work as an apartment manager. He is looking into graduate school. Jon is still dating Hanna at this time. She is in her last year of nursing school.

Charlie, Clint, and Cheri lost their dad this past July and are still mourning his passing. Charlie is still working at the steel mill and has an apartment in Brownstown. He is looking at his options at this time and is thinking of moving, possibly to Vegas.

Clint started his first year at Western Michigan University in September and is loving the college life. Amanda went out to Kalamazoo too. There are several Bedford kids at the college and everyone is settling in quite well.

Cheri is in Varsity Cheer and loving it. They are getting ready for competitive season. She is a junior this year and is enjoying the high school life.

Go Bedford!!!
