I'm SICK of winter!!!!

Ok, the only one in our family that is digging this weather is Romeo. If we had a fur coat like he does then we would probably want to play all day in the snow too. He dives into the snow and eats it, runs like a bunny, and doesn't want to come in. Crazy beast! We have had more snow than we have had in years. I am so over winter it isn't even funny. I'm your beach bunny, short wearing, swimming pool kinda girl. I live in the wrong end of the United States.

Anna is getting a kick out of how we make such a big deal about snow out here. She said she gets several feet of snow in Austria and they NEVER call off school. We get snow days, fog days, ice days, and cold days. I guess we are just spoiled Americans. I'm not complaining about the days off (I only worked 2 days last week), but I'm getting to the point that I would rather work and get closer to summer. I'm longing for working in the garden, playing with the pony, and taking my pups on the trail. I am also really sick of running on the treadmill. As my runs get longer, I am wanting to burn up some outside trails. The treadmill is BORING!

Paul is reffing soccer and basketball now. On his days off he is working on our master bath. Tiling the shower starts this weekend! When that shower is up and running I am closing the other bath for a few days to do some renovations on it. I want to get this inside stuff done so we can work on the yard when the weather turns. I am also giving the barn an overhaul this spring. Now that Charlie and Clint will have houses, they can take some of their stuff (crossing fingers). Clint and Amanda are moving into our old house on Forest Valley this spring. Hopefully they will stay there if Amanda can find a job around here. She is graduating in April and is already putting feelers out for jobs. There are lots of changes going on in education and I don't know what the job market will be like. I have confidence she will find something close by.

I am still teaching Zumba and taking a ton of training classes to learn new dances. I have taken Master classes and am taking an advanced certification in March. I am going to Orlando in July for a Zumba conference and will become certified in Zumba toning. I will probably start teaching that in the fall. I am in training for my half marathon and that is going well, at least on the treadmill. Except for a slight cold, I have been staying healthy. I am grateful for that after the rough recovery from my gallbladder surgery. I'm looking forward to a better 2011. We had a rough end to 2010.

My kids lost their Grandpa Anderson a few weeks ago. Poor kids have been through so many losses in the past few years. I hope we are done with that for a while. All that is left on their Dad's side is their Aunt Sue and her family. They are all handling it well but it isn't easy. They could use a prayer of two if you would please.

Not much else going on around the farm. We are just holding tight for some warmer weather. Until then, we will be dreaming of warm, sunny days and cuddling by the fire. Stay warm and we love you!
