Busy, busy weekend!

This past weekend was full of activity from Ohio to Colorado. We started off the weekend by going to Paul's 40 year reunion tailgate party. St Francis (his alma mater) played against St Johns at the University of Toledo's football field. We had a huge tent with food and drinks before the game. Paul helped organize the tailgate. We attended the football game where I am happy to report St Francis won 7-6. I met many of Paul's high school buddies, as well as saw many friends I haven't seen in a while. Paul's class was there along with several other classes celebrating reunions.

Saturday morning we flew to Denver with Paul's parents. We met Janette at the airport because she had just flown in from Sacramento. We got our rent a car and drove to JC, Robin, and Paul Richard's house (Paul's nephew and Janette's son, daughter in law, and grandson). Jane and Mel had already flown in and met us there. Jon joined us and we all had lunch together before heading out to catch Maya and Maddie's soccer games (Sam and Kris' girls). Sam is Paul's sister Sue's son and his daughter is Maya. Sam married Kris and her daughters are Maddie and Sydney. The girls are 10, 9, and 8 years old. After all that activity we checked into the hotel, cleaned up, and headed up to the mountains to visit Hannah's (Jon's girlfriend) parents. We had a wonderful dinner with wonderful company. Her parents were very sweet to us and they love Jonathan.

Sunday brought another busy day. We started off going to Paul Richard's 5th birthday party! There was family, friends, food, and fun (my favorite things to do). He received an entire toy store for his birthday, plus he got gift certificates, and a trip to the toy store from Grandma Janette. After his party Jane, Janette, and I took Sam's girls shopping at the mall. That was an experience! We all bought each girl one outfit. Picking the perfect outfit took a looooonnnngggg time. It was a ton of fun though because we really got to know the girls. We don't see them enough and enjoy every minute we get. We ended the evening with a wonderful dinner at Sam and Kris' house. The entire family was there (the ones that were in Denver anyway), even Kris' Mom and Paul's cousins Dan and Chris whom I had never met. We had a bonfire after the dinner complete with marshmallows!

Monday we got back on the plane and headed home! What an awesome weekend!!!
